There’s something about fairs. Actually I stand corrected, there is a lot about fairs. The lights, the games, the rides, the food, the screams, the popcorn, the candy floss and the best part is how we suddenly turn into small kids irrespective of our real ages.
The lights and the colours is what enamored us as artists to go and shoot at the fair and all credit goes to my photographer who came up with the concept. Well, I won’t be too modest. It wasn’t easy being all dressed and having people stare at you (to be honest though the stares don’t bother me much since i’m so used to it). It was extremely difficult to also stay focused to our task at hand of shooting and not be distracted by all the rides around and the yummy food.
Considering there were going to be a lot of colours and lights around, Fashion wise I didn’t want to go too colourful or extravagant with my outfit; yet wanted to give the look that high fashion touch. While some girls shed clothes to look ‘fashionable’ (which I am not against at all, it’s your body and your wish to show as much skin). For me what speaks ‘style’ is layering. I love adding pieces to my look that add a lot of character and speak of your personal style. That’s also why the sleek back hair, it gives the look that high fashion feel. My open hair with curls, on the contrary would have added a more joyous feel to the series.
Now, that you know the story behind the Fair Affair series, take a look at all the images.
