Don’t Close your Eyes!| The Spring Post

I stumbled upon a beautiful poem by ‘CrazyLadySadie’ on the All Poetry website and it was more than apt! But I’m most excited for this post because finally this dream shoot has come to life. I have been wanting to do a concept shoot in the fields for the longest of time and one fine day this just happened. Like they say when you really want something, all the forces shall come together to get it for you (all you need is patience).

So, its fair to say this post is quite special to me and obviously you know how I excited I get about new seasons and seasonal fashion. Don’t hold yourself back from showering me with your thoughts on this post ❤

I’ve always called myself little miss sunshine (although the most apt would be little miss naughty/chatterbox), but I never found a poem as real as this (para one & three, won me over)!! There is a little miss sunshine who makes it all seem like sunshine and happiness but has anyone ever thought of what goes behind this sunshine?

Little Miss Sunshine

She was called Little Miss Sunshine
with bright eyes and a bright smile to match
She had beauty and grace intertwined
and there were never any strings attached
Her free spirit was contagious
and her laughter was intoxicating
Nothing for her was too outrageous
but how I wish she could hear me sayingLittle Miss Sunshine, don’t close your eyes
So you can see the beauty of the sunrise
Don’t sell yourself short, you need to see the light
Just please don’t close your eyes tonight
because I can see right through your veil
and I know your conscience won’t let you prevailNo one else saw through her bright sunshine
because there was never any reason to suspect
They never knew she needed a life line
because Little Miss Sunshine was perfect
They never knew about her forgotten past
Empty faces haunted her every night
and filled her with guilt and aghast
Yet she never won the fight

Little Miss Sunshine, don’t close your eyes
So you can see the beauty of the sunrise
Don’t sell yourself short, you need to see the light
Just please don’t close your eyes tonight
because I can see right through your veil
and I know your conscience won’t let you prevail

But Little Miss Sunshine closed her eyes,
and she never opened them again
We never said our goodbyes, she never said goodbye

Little Miss Sunshine, why did you close eyes?
You didn’t see the beauty of the sunrise
You sold yourself short, you didn’t see the light
You closed your eyes tonight
I saw right through your veil
and I knew your conscience wouldn’t let you prevail

Free flowing hair, minimal accessories and the no-makeup makeup look is what perfectly completed this spring look for little miss sunshine. Talking a little about Spring Fashion, here is how you can be in trend- opting for lighter shades yet not to bright (leaving that for the summer), minimal accessories can be the mantra through spring-summer & of-course its time to bring out the whites in full swing. Such a look is apt for beachwear, brunch and even to the derby with a dramatic hat.
