A very wicked Saturday was spent in my city at the Playboy Beer Garden and it’s worth a read. It’s not just any other party, it’s India’s longest party marathon and here’s an account of what went down at the Baleno Wicked Weekend in Pune.
Let me first introduce you to the concept of the Baleno Wicked Weekends.
BWW is India’s Longest Party Marathon, a nightlife concept spread over 40 nights, spread across 6 cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata & Chennai, the event caters to the desires of those who love to come out and enjoy nights of unlimited fun.
The Venue: I would have to say I agree when BWW claims that they have their parties at the best of places in your city. Although far off for me but the BWW was held this time at one of the biggest party hubs in Pune, Balewadi High Street. Playboy Beer Garden is an experience in itself. It’s the perfect combination of a party place a lounge and also a place you would love to just have some kebabs and beer post work. Also major thumbs up to Playboy for their interiors and those cute cabana seating spaces in the outside section.
The Baleno Wicked Weekends Lounge: The Highlight of the BWW parties is the Lounge. The Lounge experience is all about being Bold & Fresh and that’s exactly what I would describe it as too. The best part about the Lounge access is that you get the chance to be seated, have good food served (from a pre-fixed menu) and have mocktails also from a fixed menu for the NEXA Guests.
The Music: The highlight of a party has to be the music and the highlight of BWW was definitely the music, it’s not just me but everyone felt that way. We had Teri Miko and One&One bringing out everyone’s bold side by spinning some mad tracks. The dance floor was packed by 10pm and everyone had only one agenda and that was to dance the night away!
The Food: Food for me is a major criteria for a night-out. Not like I could eat a lot but I do feel hungry ok! And anyway I don’t eat out much so whenever I get the chance I try not to leave it. The food at the Lounge is a specially curated menu for the Baleno Wicked Weekends night by Living Foodz with a decent variety in veg and non-veg both. The best part is it’s mostly finger food so you can enjoy your party and drink away without putting in too much effort trying to eat per say.

What did it for me at the BWW?
Over the years I’ve become more of a sit down, chit chat, eat and drink kind of person (or even just hanging by the Bar). But having said that I do enjoy partying with my friends once in a while (if I know it’s a different kind of party) and the BWW became that perfect balance. So keeping that vibe in mind there are some Things that I Especially Liked at BWW:
- Firstly, the venue. The Playboy Beer Garden turned out to be quite the perfect venue with space enough to accommodate a huge crowd! It was just right for the people who had enough space to dance on the floor and enough seating outside for the one’s who wanted to chatter and enjoy the night catching with friends.
- The food was being served all hot and spontaneously. Which is exactly what you would like when you are hungry (and I get cranky if I’m out and not given food), definitely not an enjoyable night for you then.
- I’m not hardcore into music and I’m definitely not the trance and electronic kind of person. And the music was just right with all the commercial numbers that I could dance to or even just move to and sing along.
For any of you readers from Delhi, let me tell you you are lucky as hell because you have the last chance to experience the BWW! Baleno Wicked Weekends is coming to Delhi on 7th October to celebrate SEASON 1 Finale at Playboy Club, Samrat Hotel with Arjun Vagale and BLOT!
