No last dance, no goodbye! Just like that the winter vanished.
I threw off my blanket in irritation on a rather surprisingly sunny morning and in that moment I knew it was time for me to embrace ‘the’ change. I hadn’t even worn all of my winter wear (in hope that there would be cooler nights). But with a sullen face I was already packing my winter wear after a week of yet waiting for things to be the same again. Biding adieu to winters is no less than a break up, till we fall in love again next season ❤
While the weather has already asked us to transition out of the winter wardrobe, I say its still okay to hang on to the winter palette.
Having said that, here is the last post for the winter season that I put together minus any jacket, overcoat or boots (lets say its a winter post more apt for the Indian winters). The last I did a post it was spun around shirts and how to twist a formal look. And this time I had this lace top (sent in by Zapyle) that I decided I wanted to dress-up chic!
The first thing that came to my mind when I thought ‘chic’ was white bottoms or a pencil skirt. But that’s so typical & that’s when I remembered the next best or rather a fashionably better option would be to play with pastel shades. The best part about pastel colours is that you can even play with two three different colours yet not look OTT because of their neutral nature! (Now is the time you shall notice the two different pastel shades in the look, right!? )

I have to admit that it’s the black in the top that has brought out the red in my hair so beautifully (hairdresser tip: always wear black if you wish to flaunt your hair colour in particular)
So would you call this a winter look? Well, no! Its more like a fall look, so maybe ‘transitional’ would be the right word for this kind of look.

The spring wakes us, nurtures us and revitalizes us. How often does your spring come? If you are a prisoner of the calendar, it comes once a year. If you are creating authentic power, it comes frequently, or very frequently.
All that’s playing on my mind is spring now! So if you have any post requests in terms of outfit ideas or makeup looks, just drop a comment below or on my Instagram @thestylechair
