Port Blair in a Day with TSC| Travel Vlog

An unavoidable stop when heading to Havelock is Port Blair! The main hub of the Andaman Islands, the only airport in the Andamans (now you get it :p)
This post is basically about the Vlog I made sure to record all throughout in Port Blair!

Below is just a written gist of what all I did in Port Blair & what else can be done in Port Blair. Check out all my YouTube Videos for the complete account of what to do in Port Blair ↓

In addition to what all I did in Port Blair here are a few places that (in order of best things to do in Port Blair) would come after Where I went, but yet are worth a visit in Port Blair:

  • Anthropological Museum– takes you into the history of the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
  • Samudrika Marine Museum– Run by the Indian Navy, this museum has a diverse range of exhibits about the island’s ecosystem, tribal communities, plants & marine life.
  • Corbyn’s Cove– Port Blair isn’t about beaches but this one is worth a visit. The journey to the beach is beautiful and scenic. Corbyn’s Cove has a small curve of sand backed by palms.

So, I barely spent a day in Port Blair (yet managed to do alot) & actually avoided spending the night there too, not because of safety issues but because I didn’t have the luxury of time & I had holiday literally to just go and do my diving course at Havelock.

Port Blair Airport is a breeze. The minute you are off the airstrip and enter the airport you can even see the exit. Port Blair as such is actually a very small city. I knew I had about 6 hours atleast in Port Blair & I had planned to go check out the Cellular Jail & just go relax at the Marina Park.

After being picked up by my driver, who was standing outside the Airport with the Wildervibe board & my name. Breakfast was the first agenda of the day, I was assured to get a good south Indian meal in Port Blair & so I actually did. My driver took me to this restaurant called Annapurna and I had a pleasant breakfast there. Check out the vlog ↑ in this post for all the details of the Breakfast and more.

There on after waiting for a bit I hit the Cellular Jail that opened at 9 am! The whole of my Cellular Jail tour is in my Youtube Video below↓

Something I loved about Port Blair is that: you don’t need to buy bottled water & you will know why if you saw my vlog 😉

I am a complete water baby and in contrast to my hectic & busy daily life I love to just sit by myself (whether its reading or just staring out at a crowd or just at nature). So I had a few hours to kill & I made sure I fulfilled my wish of just being with myself. I was in addition treated to a beautiful park, sounds of nature with shade a whole bench to myself & the sea as my view. All this happened at the Marina Park which normally people go to for Water Sports!
No, I’m not insane once you see the whole feel of the Marina Park in the Vlog you will know how it feels (especially when you come from a busy inland city)

If you guys like the Vlog then do share or if you know friends who are planning a holiday that side of the country do share with them. I am loving doing these Travel Vlogs & I’m hoping they catch on. So don’t forget to Like the video on Youtube & SUBSCRIBE too ❤
