Playing Girl Boss with The Vanca

Everyone is yet raving about women after Women’s Day last week. Although this post isn’t an after effect of the whole women power sentiments :p

Today’s post is for all the Girl Bosses out there
Gone are the days when women didn’t bother about working or dressing up professionally! Infact its all the opposite now, Women are taking their careers more seriously than homes & so are they dressing professionally too.

Being a fashion blogger (and not a social activist), let’s talk about Work-wear Fashion.
Work wear Fashion isn’t just about picking up a pant or a shirt off a rack.

TSC Says- The most essential aspect of Formal fashion is the FIT!

Whether it’s a shirt, a pant or a dress it’s absolutely essential to have it well fitted. Fitted clothes always give a person an edgier look, whereas especially at work I personally feel ill-fitted clothes make the person seem very slouchy & unprofessional.

The minute I got this dress from The Vanca & tried it on, I was completely sold on the fit of the dress. As you all know I love my basics as much as I love colours in my wardrobe. But well fitted basic clothes are always my first choice for work-wear (even though I don’t do the typical 9-5 job).
Not only for work but I like wearing well fitted (not so flamboyant) dresses to family dinners or its a great choice for even official parties.

When it comes to wearing dresses at work, nothing beats a well tailored dress. It keeps the feminine touch alive whilst looking professional. With a blazer thrown on & a pair of stockings slipped on (this tip came in from my bff, since I’m not into corporate dressing) you can have a real chic yet professional outfit going at work.

No post on TSC is complete without Hair & Makeup.

For ladies with straight hair, you are blessed when it comes to the 9-5 kind of job. Straight hair just always looks kempt. A pony tail or a bun are the best options for work. Buns are something you can play around with, as long as the front is sleek. But, when it comes to curly hair, just buns would be the only options. Or for a big meeting you could blowdry your hair like I did here.
Minimal makeup goes a long way at work. Don’t skip doing a little makeup especially if you meet clients because it just gives a more finished appearance 🙂
