For all of you who yet haven’t got the connect, it’s time for some fashion enlightenment- Kimono is a Japanese word for clothing, β€˜ki’ standing for wearing & β€˜mono’ for thing.

Kimono is a Japanese traditional garment. Kimono is always used in important festival or formal moments, it is the representative of polite and a very formal clothing. Kimonos are T-shaped, straight-lined robes worn so that the hem falls to the ankle, with attached collars and long, wide sleeves. Kimonos are wrapped around the body, always with the left side over the right.

Kimonos came back with quite a bang last year with sheer kimonos being quite the rage during SS’15. Just like a lot of other garments that have adapted their way through to the winter, this woolen Kimono is the perfect example!

Clearly breaking away from all the traditional bounds TSC is showing you How to Strut in Style this Winters in a Kimono.

Lets throw all the cliche jackets & blazers away & get layering this winter fashionably πŸ˜€

This look is all out Bold! The colour blocking, the overpowering of different shades of red.

Style Tip: with a look with such bold elements keep the accessories to an absolute minimum! Literally the only accessory on me are the delicate tassle earrings (from Pipa Bella).

Hair & Makeup Insider: With most of the winter jackets or even capes keep the Hair Up for long hair (unless they are straight)! Curls add bulk to the look, which already exists with all the winter layers. Hence, the Top Knot.

For the makeup again keep it minimal with the focus being on the outfit. Yet opted for a winged eyeliner & a watermelon lipstick (by Guerlain). But this look could literally even be played up sans makeup πŸ™‚
