TSC says ‘Stand Up for Fit’ ft. Triumph

Hello my lovelies,

So, for the first time in a really long time I was completely off the Blog for a week! Took a well deserved break at Goa & also had an amazing birthday in Pune! But, now back to doing what I love in this virtual world ❤

So today I am going to ‘Stand up for Fit’ & talk about the less but much needed to be talked about! TSC joins hands with Triumph to ‘Stand Up for Fit’.

“Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside & out”

Now that I mentioned Triumph I’m sure it’s all clear to you ladies that this blogpost is about lingerie talk 😉

For all of you who didn’t know- Triumph is a German Lingerie brand that enjoys a presence in over 120 countries all across the world. For its brands Triumph and sloggi the company develops, produces and sells underwear, lingerie, sleepwear and swimwear, fusing excelling quality in workmanship, unrivalled fit and the latest in fashionable design.

Triumph & the ‘Stand Up for Fit’

I’m sure at some point or the other or maybe even now you ladies personally too face the problem of ill fitted bras & find it such a task to find yourself the right size. Some of us are just plain & simple lazy to go through the effort of knowing what our exact size is & just about end up wearing a bra that (apparently) fits. Little do we realise how essential it is to wear a bra that fits well!

“You don’t feel as self-conscious if your clothes fit”

Specially for people like me who love outfits to be well fitted! You definitely need fitting lingerie, orelse the whole outfit becomes a raging disaster. It’s true if the clothes fit it doubles your confidence & that confidence even shows. When clothes are ill fitted, we tend to be fidgety & that looks hideous. It gets even worse when our inner wear or lingerie is ill fitted & we end up fiddling with it to adjust it. We end up pulling unwanted attention to ourselves & our assets :P!

“Beauty is being comfortable in your own skin”, But without the aid of the right bra it all seems uncomfortable! How much ever you might hide it, discomfort shows!

I know you all have had questions that uptil now have remained unanswered! So, along with Triumph’s guidance on ‘Stand Up for Fit’, TSC  shall help you understand why it’s all about the ‘Fit’!

Why having ‘Well fitted lingerie’ is the need of the hour?

“Your inner beauty never needs makeup”,  But a good Bra it definitely needs 😉

Well fitted lingerie is the need of the hour especially for Long-term breast health.  76% of women referred to the consultant with breast pain found that proper fitting bra alleviated their symptoms! No surgical intervention or other treatment was required. Evidence also suggests that an ill-fitting bra can restrict the lymphatic flow within the breast, possibly leading to an increased risk of breast cancer.

How do we know when our lingerie is ill fitted?

Here are certain ways to recognize an ill fitted bra-

  • When the back strap keeps rising up!
  • When the bra band digs into your skin.
  • When the shoulder straps dig into your skin.
  • When the bra cups dimple or wrinkle.
  • When the breasts bulge out of the bra.
  • When the underwire digs into the skin or moves away from the body.

Now, I’m sure I have put you all to thought & you are wondering what are the symptoms that you face :p

How to ‘Stand Up for Fit’?

“Your inner beauty never needs makeup”, But a good Bra it definitely needs 😉

More important than the bra size is the cup size!

  • Make sure the bra strap is tight enough when on the last hook, because with time the back strap is only going to get loose. Similarly with the shoulder strap, make sure that there is scope to tighten it later.
  • Make sure to measure your size & then try on the bra!
  • More than the size the real important part is to find the right cup size (since that has no way of measuring), so make sure to try all the cup sizes and see the one that fits the best avoiding all the above mentioned symptoms.
  • A lot of times a smaller bra size might fit you better with a bigger cup size, so don’t rule out that option.

Also, just like you clothes size changes with weight loss or gain please remember that so does your bra size! So make sure to always measure yourself every time you buy a bra as the cup size could increase or decrease.

If you are just plain & simple lazy to do all this just find experts at the Triumph store as well as leading retail outlets like shoppers stop etc. & they shall sort you out 😀

For now too have a look at a few tips that Triumph has for you.

I thank Triumph for taking up this initiative & making us wiser women & for the rest of you, you can thank me later 😉
