In a Man’s shoes ft. Closet37

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a fabulous pair of shoes”

They say it’s a man’s world & we definitely are proving to be the wo(w)men. Women these days aren’t strung by all the old concepts of what we ‘should be doing’ or what women ‘can’t do’! Women are being brought at power with men in lots of ways & its something to be very proud of.
Collaborated with a very talented young lady- Kruthika Pillai, who has shot this post 😀 Girl power all the way 😉

Here I am obviously going to talk about women taking over men’s fashion too & in a sophisticated way!
Like it or not our formal wear has a lot of influence from men’s wear & adding that to your closet is called Androgynous. From suits to bowties, work to ramp women are stepping into men’s shoes & In Style!

Talking about stepping into Men’s shoes I recently got a pair from Closet 37 that I have been loving. Haven’t we been seeing so much of influence of Men’s fashion especially in the women’s footwear section with Oxfords & Brogues being right at the top of the fashion game.

“A woman with good shoes is never ugly”

Joy of the World – Brown (that’s what this pair is called)
A small step towards settling the soul into its most appropriate spot, A small step towards joy of the world !!

This pair has a formal touch, earthy look, yet a sense of feminity, with that hint of punk. Have to mention though how comfortable they are (even though they are pointed at the toes), all thanks to not having too stiff a material. As a design it’s fabulous& the cut-out on the shoe makes sure that your feet dont suffocate! (especially for people like me with broad feet) I have stood at work all day & yet had happy feet at the end wearing this pair.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, keep the flowers I’d rather have shoes”

Fashion Tip– Generally while buying shoes apart from the looks, prioritising comfort is very inportant. Don’t just try the shoe on to see how it looks on the feet, but always check the comfort of the shoe. Because discomfort isn’t fashionable (it begins to evidently show after a while).

“Give a girl the right shoes & she can conquer the world”

Ladies find that right pair at Closet37➡ www.closet37.com & you can even buy two stunning pairs at just Rs.1499 (I’m not kidding)

Here’s a look at this Sophisticated style. BTW if you are wondering? This look can be worn to work, meetings, dinners or even a night out with work mates.

Outfit Breakdown
Waterfall Jacket- Vero Moda
Jeggings & Tube top- ZARA
Neck collar- Gift from the States!

Clutch- Charles & Keith

Let’s see what you also notice about the Hair & Makeup!

For all of you who have found the look different should know major sophistication was brought to this look with this sleek haired bun. The hair has been blowdried & then sprayed to really give the front a flat & sleek look (so for all of you who like to go to work with ‘neat’ hair, this is how you get it).

For the Makeup (Eyes)– The lids were sans eyeliner. Only tightlined the eyes. Alot of mascara was used to really define the eyes. Darker hued lipstick to add to the touch of sophistication.

But, girls I got my ‘Brows on Fleek’ & that is what is the Secret to this (bold) look is. Bold eyebrows are definitely big this season & have been a rage on the International runways especially.
